Paul Rookwood is the Managing Principal of the nationally-renowned planning and design firm Wallace Roberts & Todd. From a background as a landscape architect in the UK, Paul came to the US to study ecological planning with Ian McHarg at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a licensed landscape architect and certified planner and has drawn on both professions in his practice on a wide variety of projects for both public and private clients. His experience ranges from policy planning, through physical planning and landscape design, to construction administration. A particular focus in many of his projects has been the integration of development and natural resource conservation. He has championed sustainability from the broadest smart growth programs to the implementation of green strategies for individual buildings and landscapes. Mr. Rookwood is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects CEO Roundtable and serves on the Board of The Cultural Landscape Foundation. He teaches at the University of Pennsylvania's graduate city planning program.
